Bank Of America Loses 3 More Directors

Three more directors resigned from Bank of America in the last week. Bank of America by now has replaced more than half of the 19-person board when compared to March. It now has 13 members, including four new directors with banking or regulatory experience, including former Federal Reserve Governor Susan Bies.

John T. Collins, William Barnet III and Gary L. Countryman are the three board directors resigned. The bank reported that the board members resignations were not because of any disagreement with the company or its management. The bank was not an elaborated explanation of why the directors were resigning. None of the three who resigned could be reached for any kind of information.

Bank of America has taken $45 billion of federal bailout money, which includes $20 billion to help absorb Merrill Lynch & Co, the investment bank it acquired on Jan.1 reported a second-quarter profit of $2.4 billion earlier this month.

The bank was under criticism in past few days for paying out $3.3 billion in bonuses for 2008, with 172 employees receiving at least $1 million and the top four recipients receiving a combined $64 million. Merrill Lynch paid out $3.6 billion, including a combined $121 million to four top employees.

The company was one of nine big banks that received bailout money and then paid big bonuses that were identified in a report by New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

Some people can talk about almost everything. They generally are literates and skilled at conversation. However, it is not important being a literate. Knowing ‘what to read, and how to express it’ when the time comes is more important.

First, read what interests you. Try magazines, or pick up a book of short stories. Read in small bits to understand first. Most importantly, you must get involved in reading something, at least for a while everyday. It is better to read children’s books, as they are more interesting and easy to understand.
After a month or two, regularly try to read something more challenging. Read articles in newspapers and magazines. If you are interested in sports, read sports column.
Find a book group. Once you start reading, you will want to talk about the book you read. Form a book club; it can be your sister, a brother, a couple of friends or even colleagues at work. Meet for a coffee or arrange a small get together and discuss about the points you read in the book. A lot of fun will evolve and you can gain lot knowledge by sharing your views with others. In addition to this, a book club makes you read more books and helps you brush up tour skills regularly.
Set personal goals for reading. Set your targets as to complete a book within a timeframe.
Enjoy reading. Enjoy whatever you read; you have to like it. You will enjoy more when you read what you are interested in.

Well this is what is happening in Canada. The government of Canada has come up with a new plan to encourage spending in their people. This is named as The Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC). According to this plan, people can claim their home improvement expenditures in the form of tax rebates. The plan ends by January 31^st of 2010. This helps people to cut on worries on their home improvement expenditures. Using this plan the homeowners can claim up to 15 percent of the renovation expenditures; but only on projects between $1,000 and $10,000. The maximum tax credit is $1,350. The government has estimated that it will have to provide around $3 billion as tax relief for this plan. It is designed to help around 4.6 million families of Canada.

The rally was there since 1911 and still there, helping people to become popular worldwide by just winning a car race.

In fact, it is not just a car race. It is much more than that. It used to give the driver an international fame and the car an international publicity. Such great is this race of Monte Carlo. But it is just called a rally; a humble way to address the great event.

This race is going to start this week but with some issues. There was some confusion over the race as it has been transferred from the World Rally Championship series to the Inter Continental Rally Challenge.

The 77^th Rally Automobile Monte-Carlo is now updated with fresh format. So it will be much interesting to watch the race this time.

Though I never liked Michael Jackson as a social human being, he is still my favorite pop star. No one can ever take down Jackson’s place as the King of Pop.

I started disliking Michael Jackson, since he started spoiling his face with stupid surgeries. I never knew a person in my life, who spent so much on changing his face, for so many times. He was indeed looking great when he underwent his first surgery where he narrowed his nose and had his eye brows shaped. He created his Thriller, with the same face and everyone knows how sensational it is.

And then on every time Mike has done some thing with his face, it was a disaster. Then all of a sudden he started improving color of his skin. Though many said it was also a part of surgery, some people said that he developed a disease named Vitiligo, which leaves skin with lack of pigmentation and thus develop some white patches.

Japanese invented a new cell phone. The specialty of this cell phone will be that you can use it to unlock your car doors and ignite your car engine even. No…you can’t unlock your neighbor’s car door with your mobile. It opens only your car door. 4G (also known as beyond 3G), an acronym for Fourth-Generation Communications System, is a term used to describe the next step in wireless communications. A 4G system will be able to provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and streamed multimedia can be given to users on an "Anytime, Anywhere" basis, and at higher data rates than previous generations. There is no formal definition for what 4G is; however, there are certain objectives that are projected for 4G.
These objectives include: that 4G will be a fully IP-based integrated system. This will be achieved after wired and wireless technologies converge and will be capable of providing 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s speeds both indoors and outdoors, with premium quality and high security. 4G will offer all types of services at an affordable cost.

4G is being developed to accommodate the quality of service (QoS) and rate requirements set by forthcoming applications like wireless broadband access,Multimedia Messaging , video chat, mobile TV, High definition TV content, DVB, minimal service like voice and data, and other streaming services for "anytime-anywhere". The 4G working group has defined the following as objectives of the 4G wireless communication standard: A spectrally efficient system (in bits/s/Hz and bit/s/Hz/site),
High network capacity: more simultaneous users per cell,
A nominal data rate of 100 Mbit/s while the client physically moves at high speeds relative to the station, and 1 Gbit/s while client and station are in relatively fixed positions as defined by the ITU-R,
A data rate of at least 100 Mbit/s between any two points in the world,
Smooth handoff across heterogeneous networks,
Seamless connectivity and global roaming across multiple networks,

In summary, the 4G systems should dynamically share and utilize network resources to meet the minimal requirements of all the 4G enabled users.

Bacon is a newly coined term used to describe the permission-based marketing you receive by email. So you probably don't mind getting messages about free shipping on orders over $100 or last-minute deals on flights. But neither are you in a hurry to read them. That's bacon. If your business uses email to reach customers, stressing the fine line in customers' perception between bacon and Spam. If you send subscribers a stream of irrelevant content, they might react by:

Creating rules to automatically delete your messages.
